NINJATRIX

We are a team dedicated to improving our communities through our greatest asset, OUR KIDS! We utilize three dynamic sport disciplines, Martial Arts, Parkour and Gymnastics, to bring out the best in our kids. Through these sport disciplines, our kids will learn physical and mental skills to equip them with the tools to compete and win in today’s highly competitive world.

Our founder, Steve Butts, is no stranger to kids’ businesses. For more than three decades he has been bringing fitness, recreation, and training facilities to kids and families in communities like yours, in the disciplines of martial arts, gymnastics, cheer and even roller skating!

Over seventy locations across the country (and the world!) have implemented the NinjaTrix curriculum developed by Steve and his team. Today, he is excited to help coach NinjaTrix franchise owners, so they too can build a future in an incredibly rewarding industry.

Justin, Coach at NinjaTrix Pensacola

Justin's love for obstacle courses and teaching found its home at NinjaTrix, where he was more than a coach; he was a mentor and inspiration. Throughout his life, Justin explored the world, embraced a multitude of sports, and carried a passion for coaching. His journey led him to us, and his legacy continues in every course we teach and every obstacle we overcome.

We honor Justin's memory by continuing to inspire and challenge our students just as he did. His dedication to NinjaTrix and the joy he found in our students' achievements will forever be a guiding light for our community.

I was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL, and I relocated to Gulf Shores, AL. I have a bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration, which I used for 7 years in the law enforcement field. I started by trying out various sports as a kid, including Little League, softball, and soccer. I also gave competitive cheer and dance a shot for a little while. Later on, I joined the Varsity Bowling Team and played Ultimate Frisbee throughout high school. In college, I continued to pursue my passion for sports by participating in Ultimate Frisbee. Nowadays, I compete in and coach American Ninja Warrior-style competitions.

My coaching journey began by coaching my younger brother's soccer team for 7 years. Then, I became an Athletic Specialist during the summers. I've been coaching Ninja Warrior competitors for 3 years and have been coaching our NinjaTrix students for over a year. Seeing the excitement on our kids' faces when they achieve something for themselves drives me to be the best coach I can be.

For over three decades, Steve has been providing fitness, recreation, and training facilities for children and families in Santa Rosa County. His expertise spans various disciplines, including martial arts, gymnastics, cheer, and even roller skating! As the founder and creator of the NinjaTrix program, Steve was excited to bring the first NinjaTrix studio to the Pensacola area.
Drop your Ninjas off with us for a fun-filled day of Ninja activities!
Drop off time will be 9:00-9:30am.
Pick-up time will be 12:45-1:00pm.
Every day, our Ninja Campers will learn and enjoy:
  • Fun and challenging martial arts, parkour, and tumbling skills
  • Exciting obstacle courses
  • Climbing our traversing rock wall
  • Life skills activities
  • Lunch and drinks
  • Other fun Ninja activities!

And at the end of their camp week, our Ninjas in training will earn their White Level Ninja headband, as well as a life skill badge!

Join us to celebrate NinjaTrix Pensacola's 1st Birthday on Saturday, October 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm! Our classes are full of excitement, physical activity, and challenging skills! Get a glimpse of our curriculum-based program that allows our students to progress through the ranks to become an official Ninja! Our curriculum is designed to benefit students physically through balance, coordination, increased mobility, muscle development, joint strength, agility, and endurance. Our NinjaTrix students also benefit from our life skills program that teaches goal setting, courtesy, discipline, respect, focus, and much much more!

JR NINJAS

Our Jr. Ninja Classes are designed for the 7 to 12 year old Ninja Warrior! Our Jr. Ninjas learn all the foundational skills that our Lil's learn to create a well-rounded athlete. All the while expanding their skill set to include all the tricks and tumbling skills that will keep our Jr. Ninjas looking for that next challenge!

LIL' NINJAS

Our Lil' Ninjas Classes are for ages 4 to 6 years old! They are designed to entertain, excite and motivate our Lil's while learning foundational skills in all three sports, Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Parkour. Your Ninja will fine tune motor skills with our challenging, fun classes while developing that positive Ninja Trait of "CAN DO"

LIFE SKILLS

NinjaTrix has partnered with Kids Love Life Skills to bring our Ninjas an innovative life skills and character development system. This program inspires our students to become the best version of themselves as they earn badges based on learning and practicing 24 different life skills until they become habits. By combining traditional values such as honesty, courtesy, and responsibility with cutting-edge child development traits, like the importance of making good choices and other essential character traits, we create a dynamic learning environment that will benefit your child in all aspects of their life, even into adulthood.

PARKOUR

Parkour is the sport of moving rapidly through an area while negotiating obstacles by running, jumping and climbing. Our Ninjas will learn parkour techniques to navigate through obstacle courses designed to keep them challenged, smiling and wanting to step up to their next Ninja Level!

GYMNASTICS

Every Ninja needs gymnastics skills! Our Ninjas will progress through the Ninja Levels while learning tumbling skills to increase body awareness, physical strength, fitness levels, balance, and coordination skills. Ninjas will progress through these skills while gaining new-found confidence and having a great time!

MARTIAL ARTS

Our Ninjas will begin their path with foundational martial arts skills taught in a fun, safe and challenging environment. The martial arts skills taught will lay the foundation for a well-rounded Ninja, while building the confidence to take on the next Ninja challenge!
